Carmen and Marcel create a welcoming family atmosphere.
Unfortunately, my stay was marred by incredibly loud music that echoed from Old Bank town late into the night, disrupting my sleep. Despite the promise of tranquility in the forest bungalow, it turned out to be a restless experience with noise lingering until dawn. Moreover, navigating the path to Old Bank was challenging, as it required crossing thin wooden planks above a mangrove swamp that wasn’t exactly suited for all guests.

I felt right at home during my 5 nights in the Double Room with Sea View! The stunning view from my room was a highlight—falling asleep to the soothing sounds of the jungle was simply magical. Every morning started with a generous breakfast featuring local fruits, pancakes, and the best eggs I've ever had!

Carmen’s Place felt like a slice of paradise tucked between the lush jungle and the sea. My mornings started with the soothing sounds of the jungle, followed by exceptional breakfast prepared by Carmen. I loved relaxing on the dock with a coffee, taking in the serene views. The Family Suite with Balcony was a highlight, offering the perfect perch for watching the local wildlife. Carmen and Marcel created such a welcoming atmosphere, treating me like family. Dinners were a treat. they were plentiful with diverse flavors, making each meal memorable. On the downside, the ocean right in front wasn’t very clear for swimming. The muddy path to Old Bank wasn’t the easiest, often requiring a water taxi. One night, loud music from across the water disrupted sleep until dawn, but that didn’t overshadow my overall experience. The provided amenities like filtered water and organized tours were great touches that added to my stay.

We had a fantastic time here, especially enjoying the delicious dinner Carmen cooked for us and the cozy atmosphere where we mingled with other guests. Plus, the sun terrace and the garden area were perfect spots to relax and unwind after our adventures. The only downside was the loud music from town that kept us up a bit too late, but it didn’t ruin our great experience! 🌅
